We HeArt Bikes Fundraising Art Show

Reno Bike Projects Annual We HeArt Bikes Fundraising Art Show is a one-night show celebrating the bicycle as not only an amazing form of transportation, recreation, and exercise, but also a platform for artistic expression.  The show has been held at local venues such as GraySpace Gallery, Never Ender Gallery, The Holland Project Gallery and Studio on Fourth. It is sponsored by New Belgium Brewing and includes live music.  Every year we enjoy the artistic stylings of participating local and national artists and roughly 300 attendees.  It is one heck of a party.

Submissions:

We heart Bikes is open to everyone!  All art has to be related to the bicycle in one way or another.  This can be anything: Painting, sculpture, drawings, photographs, performances, digital media, and the like.  Every submission is welcome and put on display for sale to benefit RBP.  Artists decide what percentage of the sale will go to RBP, with a minimum of 50%.  Submissions are accepted anytime, but no later than two days before the show and can be dropped off or mailed to the Shop (541 E. 4thSt. Reno, NV 89512).  The show takes place on April 6th; We will accept submissions until March 29th.  For more information please call (775) 323-4488 or contact us.

Bike Swap – July 29, 2012

We host an annual Bike Swap which is typically held in conjunction with the mighty Tour De Nez in July.  This is a great opportunity to get a used bike at a very fair price.  Have a bike to sell?  We’ll do it for you while you shop and watch the race.  Drop off your bike at our 4th St location the week before the event, or at the park between 8am and 10am.  The 20% consignment fee will benefit the Reno Bike Project’s education, advocacy, and outreach programs.

Interested in being a vendor at our event?  If you’re a shop, cycling club, or just have too much bike stuff in the garage, we’d love to have you at the swap.  Get in touch and we’ll sign you up.

If you have any questions please contact us at renobikeproject@gmail.com

Borrow the Bike Racks

We will loan out the bike racks given that it does not conflict with our calendar of events. Generally we have lent the racks to bike races, long group rides, charity events, etc.  We ask for a $100 donation for rack use.  If you are interested in borrowing or using the bike racks for an event of your own please call (775) 323-4488 or contact us.
